staging the weekly Candie Gardens Concerts for the same period.
In November April 2011 we received permission
for the installation of five benches at the Albert Pier which takes the number of benches installed around St Peter Port
Harbour to 76.
In April Genevieve Langford became a Trustee which links in nicely her hard work on behalf of the
Old Quarter. She has just obtained permssion to erect a sign at the bottom of Mill street which will announce 'welcome
to the Old Quarter' and we have raised sponsorship and expect the task to be completed in July.Andy Merrett a Director
of Lovell Ozanne has recently agreed to become a Trustee.
We have received a grant from the Association of
Guernsey Charities Christmas Lottery in 2010 distribution towards the provision of additional Festoon Lighting
and raised £17,500 to provide the lighting between the St Julian's Avenue roundabout and Salerie corner which is
now installed.

A number of the Trustees together with the services of the Community Service Office plus
the expertise of Event Services Limited enabled us to put up the bunting around St Peter Port prior to the Liberation day
celebrations last year.In 2012 it will again stay up until October when we will help take it down for another year.We have
a stock of bunting which will commence at the top of Mill Street throughout the Town to the Lower Pollet.
We have
agreed to provide 60 flags of the Commonwealth to be flown on the mast at St Julian's Avenue on 2nd June and
thereafter on Commonwealth day and other public celebrations.
We are
currently preparing a planning application for two Petanque playing areas close to the QE11 Marina on an area of land which
is ideal. There will also be benches placed close to the playing area for specatators which will allow the public to sit and
also enjoy the Marina.
One of our objectives for 2012 is to complete the line of festoon lighting along the seafront
which will involve installation of lighting poles close to the Harbour from the Albert Pier to the Slaughterhouse along the
pedestrian walkway.Once the Poles are erected we can then raise the money for the festoon lighting. We have also received an
approach to provide permanent lighting in market street which temporarily was put up over the festive season and saw incidents
of anti social behaviour reduce dramatically.
Finally we have just agreed a sponsorship arrangement
with Spearpoint Limited to stage concerts in Market Square during May to September with the emphasis
on local young talent. With over 24 concerts arranged in 2011 we are hopefull that we can arrange two performances per
week normally commencing at 12.15pm
